Riyadh: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), welcomed the Khujand Declaration between the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
He also welcomed the signing of the treaty on the demarcation of the tripoint border between the three countries, which took place on Monday in the city of Khujand, Republic of Tajikistan.
The GCC Secretary General expressed hope that this development would mark a historic turning point towards resolving border differences and building strategic relations that promote security, stability, prosperity, and development for the benefit of their peoples.
