A man fled war-torn Sudan by buying a lost British passport in the black market, then entered Bahrain illegally and tried to board a plane for London in an attempt to seek asylum in the UK.
The 36-year-old Sudanese national from Darfur earlier admitted to obtaining a visa-on-entry on false pretences, but denied committing a crime, and was ultimately found guilty of impersonation and illegal entry .
