FOOTBALL – ROUND 13 of the 2024-25 Nasser Bin Hamad Bahrain Premier League takes place tonight and tomorrow with all 12 of the kingdom’s top-tier clubs in action.
Tonight, current leaders Muharraq take on Malkiya at Shaikh Ali Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Stadium in Arad. Al Najma go up against Al Ahli at Khalifa Sports City Stadium in Isa Town, and A’ali go up against Al Shabab at the National Stadium in Riffa.
Tomorrow, defending champions Al Khaldiya and Riffa go head-to-head in a titanic clash between two of this season’s top three clubs. Their game will be held at the National Stadium.
At Shaikh Ali Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Stadium, Bahrain Club face off with East Riffa and at Khalifa Sports City Stadium, Sitra go up against Manama.
All of the matches are scheduled for 7pm kick-offs.
Heading into this weekend’s fixtures, Muharraq are in first place with 29 points – but are just one ahead of Khaldiya. The two are engaged in a thrilling two-horse race, while Riffa are a distant third with 20 points.
Sitra follow in fourth with 19, while Shabab and Malkiya complete the top half of the table with 18 points apiece.
Najma are seventh with 17 points, Bahrain Club follow with 15, and Ahli are next on 14 markers. The bottom three feature Manama on 10 points, A’ali on six, and East Riffa in last place with four points.
