TENNIS – Ahmed Jaffar and Nalan Chokkappa won the title in the Late Majid Al Zayani Ramadan Super Doubles Tennis Tournament, played at the Bahrain Tennis Club (BTC) courts in Juffair.
The competition took place as part of the BTC’s Ramadan activities. It commemorated the Late Majid Al Zayani, who was a long-time member of the club. Jaffar and Chokkappa clinched the title after defeating Ahmed Janahi and Wafi Mahmood 6-3, 2-6, 10-5 in a hotly contested match.
Following the contest, the two pairs were presented their respective prizes in a closing and awards ceremony attended by Al Zayani Investments Company honorary chairman Khalid Rashid Al Zayani, BTC honorary chairman Dr Ali bin Mohammed Fakhro, BTC vice-chairman Khalid Ahmed Al Abbasi, and BTC senior officials Dr Faisal Al Mousawi and Khamis Al Muqla.
