Sousa said that the past two weeks were good for the national players who stepped up preparations in the run-up to the double qualifiers.
He praised the players’ performance in the friendly matches against Ukraine and Malaysia “which augurs well for the third round matches”.
“We were hoping fans could attend and cheer the national team in its decisive matches but the current circumstances will prevent that,” he said, expressing confidence in the team’s ability to achieve positive results in the three matches.
