A total of 2,203 unauthorised street stalls and carts along with 268 illegal shipments were confiscated between January and December last year as part of an intensive campaign aimed at enhancing public safety, the Capital Municipality has announced.
Daily inspection campaigns, conducted in co-ordination with the Interior Ministry, are aimed at apprehending violators and enforcing municipal regulations, under the Public Roads Occupancy Law of 2019, it said in a statement yesterday .
