FOOTBALL – THE Official Liverpool Supporters Club Bahrain (OLSC Bahrain) held a special gathering last month to mark the Carabao Cup final between Liverpool and Newcastle United at Al Nahham Hall, Muharraq Model Youth Centre.
The event included a live screening of the match on a big screen. After the game, a special prize draw was held for the audience, where several lucky winners received special gifts.
Also at the event, OLSC Bahrain founder Dr Dheya Tawfiqi was honoured with a unique framed Liverpool jersey from 2013, the year the club was founded, signed and dedicated by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, featuring the names of all founding members, as a token of appreciation for his major role in establishing and supporting the club.
Former board of directors were also honoured with plaques and certificates of appreciation for their dedication and service to OLSC Bahrain.
OLSC Bahrain chairman Fahad Alabbasi was in attendance. He emphasised that such gatherings reflect the strong family spirit that unites Liverpool fans in Bahrain. He thanked everyone who contributed to making the event a success.
