The Lion of Bahrain Ali Yaqoob is rising to the big leagues of mixed martial arts. He is ready to turn professional and will make his official debut in Bahrain at BRAVE CF 48: Arabian Night on March 18.
Yaqoob will take on Ramyar Luqman in one of the 14 bouts scheduled for the historic show.
The mixed martial artist has garnered various accolades throughout his venture into the amateur circuit, with multiple medals in the European Championship, World Championship and Asian Championship.
He had an extensive amateur career with 11 wins and six losses since his start in 2017. He is part of the number one amateur MMA team in the world, KHK MMA, and has bouts in both the Featherweight and Bantamweight divisions.
Yaqoob’s first-ever professional fight will be a Featherweight bout against Kurdistan’s West Asia Sandu Champion Ramyar Luqman with a professional record of 1-0. He came in on less than a week’s notice after Luqman’s initial opponent, Elias Nedir, was forced to withdraw from the fight.
Meanwhile, Iraqi Muay Thai national team fighter Hussein Salem will also be making his debut at BRAVE CF 48: Arabian Night against Kuwaiti MMA pioneer Sulaiman Al Modhyan in a Featherweight bout. Both fighters are experienced Muay Thai competitors, making this an unmissable fight for fans across the globe.
BRAVE CF 48: Arabian Night will feature the biggest and best fighters from the region. It will take place at Arad Fort and will be broadcast on BRAVE CF TV, as well as locally on Bahrain Sports TV.
