Jai Karnataka and Central Café topped their respective groups in the ongoing KSB Champions Trophy 2018 Soft Ball Cricket Tournament at the Indian Club premises.
Jai Karnataka easily won two of their matches for the day in Group C while Central Café registered their third straight victory in Group B by defeating Kewalram by eight runs.
In the opening match of the day, Kewalram fought hard against Central Café but fell short by eight runs. Richard contributed 13 runs as Central Cafe were all out for 34 runs after batting first. Nithin and Raj claimed one wicket each for Kewalram.
Kewalram began the chase well with captain Heshang scoring 14 runs. However, their innings ended at 26 runs for 3 wickets. Girish got two wickets for Central Café.
Meanwhile, Jai Karnataka beat Maharashtra Mandal Cricket club (MMCC) by five wickets and later outplayed Kansara by six wickets.
In a Group A encounter, Falcon CC scored a 12-run win against Telli Kings.
