Kuwait City: Top Kuwaiti comedian Abdulhussain Abdulredha has undergone a successful surgical operation after suffering a heart failure.
The 78-year old prominent actor was admitted to the intensive medical unit at the Royal Hospital in London, the UK, where he underwent coronary and foot stenting.
Kuwaiti Health Minister Dr. Jamal Al Harbi directed the London-based health bureau to follow-up the comedian’s condition.
The iconic actor is considered as one of the founders of the art movement in Kuwait, along with prominent actors of his generation Khalid Al-Nafisi, Ali Mufidi, Saad Al-Faraj, Ibrahim Sallal, Ghanem Saleh and others.
Abdulhussain Abdulredha has had a rich artistic career, whether on theater stage or TV serials but his social comedy Bye Bye London (1981) remains by far his lifetime success on stage.
