EQUESTRIAN – Mumayyaz Al Layal, owned by Mohsen Ali Abdulla Husain, claimed first place in the senior stallions competition of the seventh Arabian Horse Organisation (AHO) Breeders’ Championship for purebred Arabian horses, which came to a close at the Military Sports Union arena.
The event was organised by the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef) in co-operation with the AHO. Finishing behind Mumayyaz Al Layal amongst the senior stallions was runner-up AMS Shaheen BH, owned by Al Mudahka Stud, while Muharib Al Muhanna, owned by Al Muhanna Stud, came third.
In the yearling colts competition, Bandar Al Manama, owned by Saeed Jaafar, secured first place, followed by AY Nayef, owned by Ammar Yousef, in second. Hareer Al Layal, owned by Mohsen Ali Abdulla Husain, came third. In the junior colts’ contest, Suhan BH, owned by Muneer Al Alawi, took first place.
Admiral Al Manama, owned by Hussain Jaafar, finished second, and Ryan AJ, owned by Abdullah Al Nuaimi, was third. Following the event, Breef public relations committee head Hamad Boufarsan thanked Breef president Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa for his support, and commended the strong participation and success of the event.
