Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's dad Krishnaraj Rai passed away in Mumbai on Saturday evening after a prolonged illness. He was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital in a critical condition two weeks ago wherein he was put on a ventilator at the Intensive Care unit (ICU) of the hospital.
Krishnaraj was reportedly suffering from lymphoma cancer which spread to his brain. Earlier, he underwent a treatment for cancer but apparently, cancer relapsed.
A prayer meet for the deceased soul was held in Mumbai. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan along with daughter Aaradhya, husband Abhishek Bachchan and mother Vrinda Rai. Amirtabh Bachchan were the first to arrive as Bollywood came together to pray for the deceased soul.
