Hundreds of tourists were evacuated from Petra's archaeological site by Jordanian authorities on Sunday (May 4) after heavy rainfall caused flooding, the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority said.
A video handout from the Authority showed floods in some parts of the UNESCO World Heritage site, including its iconic treasury.
Authorities temporarily closed the site on Sunday afternoon, the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority added.
