Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Shaikh Khaled bin Mohamed Al Nahyan has witnessed the announcement of a Disney theme park resort project on Yas Island.
The project follows a strategic partnership agreement between The Walt Disney Company and Miral, Abu Dhabi’s leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences, according to a statement yesterday.
Shaikh Khaled underscored that the development reflects the UAE and Abu Dhabi’s standing as a leading leisure tourism destination. He also highlighted the creative and cultural economy’s role in supporting economic diversification and GDP growth, aligning with the National Strategy for Cultural and Creative Industries.
The announcement was also attended by key officials including Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism and Miral Chairman Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak.
