SHOOTING – Bahrain added to their tally in the Arab Shooting Championship 2025 yesterday, taking two silver medals in the 10-metre air rifle competitions in 6th of October City, Egypt.
Safa Mohamed Aldoseri secured a silver medal in the women’s individual event and then added a silver amongst the women’s teams after joining forces with Marwa Alamairi and Fawzia Mohamed.
Their pair of silver medals brought the kingdom’s total haul in the event to seven so far. The nationals had also already claimed three medals in the 10m air pistol events, and then another two in men’s skeet shotgun.
In the air pistol competitions, Moza Abdulraheem struck gold in the individual women’s division, and then teamed up with Badreya Alatawi and Qamar Ali Khalifa to clinched silver in the women’s teams category.
The men’s squad of Ahmed Esam Alsherawi, Mohamed Khaled Zaman, and Ahmed Siraj Al Deen also secured a bronze medal in the men’s teams event.
In the skeet events, Bahrain’s trio of Tammar Ali Saleh, Hassan Majed, and Khaled Waleed took third place in the teams’ category, while Saleh also finished in third in the individual contest.
Bahrain are one of 19 Arab national teams competing in this year’s Arab championship, which features more than 300 athletes, both men and women.
The other competitors are representing Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, the UAE, Morocco, Sudan, Lebanon, Mauritania, and hosts Egypt.
