Slate Auto, a company backed by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, has recently unveiled a low-cost electric truck that can also be converted into an SUV.
Priced at around USD 25,000 (BD 9,400), the no-frills truck promises to simplify motoring with its unique modularity, allowing owners to transform the car into anything they want.
The car is expected to have a maximum range of 240 km on a single charge, with the option to upgrade to a higher-range battery pack that would extend the range to 380 km.
Production of the car is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
