BOCCIA – KAZAKHSTAN secured first place in the men’s competitions of the BC1 category in the Bahrain 2025 World Boccia Challenger, which came to a close at Isa bin Rashid Sports Hall in Isa Sports City in Riffa.
The tournament witnessed extensive participation, with over 64 participants representing 14 countries.
The closing ceremony witnessed several countries claiming top positions in the men’s and women’s competitions.
In the BC1 category, Malaysia claimed the top spot in the women’s competitions. Excelling in the BC2 category were Thailand, who showcased their dominance by securing first place in both the men’s and women’s events. In the BC3 category, South Korea’s team secured first place in the men’s competition, while Saudi Arabia claimed first place in the women’s contest.
In the BC4 category, South Korea were also first amongst the men, while Malaysia secured the top spot amongst the women.
In the BC4 doubles, the Malaysian team claimed first place. In the BC3 category, the Swedish team secured the top spot, and in the BC1/2 team competitions, Thailand emerged victorious, taking first place.
During the closing, Bahrain Paralympic Committee president Shaikh Mohammed bin Duaij Al Khalifa highlighted the success of the event, reflecting Bahrain’s steadfast commitment to supporting determined athletes and developing an environment that enhances their skills and abilities.

The organising committee honoured the supporting entities that contributed to the tournament’s success. A commemorative shield was also presented to the Boccia International Sports Federation in gratitude for its co-operation and support.
