Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed BOC’s keenness to strengthen collaboration with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to advance the Olympic movement.
Shaikh Khalid was speaking as he met IOC vice president Ng Ser Miang yesterday. Shaikh Khalid praised the IOC’s role in advancing the Olympic movement and promoting sports values through various sporting initiatives, including the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, Youth Olympic Games, and other programmes.
The meeting was attended by GSA deputy chairman Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, SCYS secretary general Ayman Almoayyed, GSA chief executive Dr Abdulrahman Askar, BOC secretary general Fares Al Kooheji and Bahrain Athletics Association president Mohammed bin Jalal.
