A new survey of US citizens highlights the uncertainty sowed at home by President Donald Trump’s controversial tariffs, with many living in fear of rising prices and recession.
According to poll results based on interviews with 1,260 US adults, 76% of respondents think the price of US goods will rise and 80% are concerned the US will enter a recession.
Most Americans (80%) are feeling financial stress, with 45% having to deal with major stress over their personal finances. Notably, Democrats and independents report more financial stress than Republicans.
