Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Erko ‘The Bounty Hunter’ Jun has checked many boxes on his bucket list thus far. In his young life, the man has tasted success on various levels, from being a world-renowned multiple-time bodybuilding champion, a fitness model, and a social media influencer.
Next Sunday, at BRAVE CF 70, the multi-talented star is set to break more barriers when he faces Slovenian MMA veteran Marko Drmonjic in a light heavyweight fight in the main event of the most-global MMA promotion in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
While it may be hard to top his previous highs, Jun has admitted that competing on BRAVE Combat Federation’s platform makes him “truly proud” and promises to deliver on the responsibility that comes with being the main attraction.
“I am very excited to fight for BRAVE Combat Federation,” says the BRAVE CF debutant.
“It’s an honour for me, especially to fight in the main event of such a big organisation. It definitely ticks one of my bucket list boxes, and it’s so awesome that I’ll get to do it at BRAVE CF 70. I truly am proud of this achievement. I really want to give the people a good show like I always do,” says the KO specialist who has amassed five KO/TKOs in five wins.
“I’ve been training since January for this fight. The hardest part is over, and the weight cut is going well as my body adopts and drops a little each week as we move closer to the fight.”
‘The Bounty Hunter’ will have his UFD training partners Joilton Lutterbach and Danylo Kartavyi on the card. Lutterbach competes in the co-main event against Andreas Gustafsson Berg in a super welterweight fight, as heavyweight Kartavyi will throw down with another hometown hero Miha Frlic, in one of three ‘Big Boy’ clashes. Jun loves sharing the BRAVE CF cage with his teammates and is keen on watching them make big statements on the night. While he admits that being the last fighter on such a prestigious card comes with its stressors, he looks forward to stepping out and doing it “Erko style.”
“It feels good knowing you have your other guys on the fight card. I love it, and I am super excited for all of us. They are all well-prepared, and the BRAVE CF matchmakers have produced good matchups. Being the last event puts a lot of pressure on you because you see your teammates do their work first, but again, there is a reason why I am the main attraction for BRAVE CF 70, it’s because I deliver under pressure. I aim to give the people a good show. Marko knows it’s going to be a war. This is not going to be an easy fight. I am going to knock him out. On April 23, BRAVE Nation fans will know how to knock someone out Erko style,” added Jun.
BRAVE CF 70, co-promoted with leading regional organisation WFC, will become Slovenia’s biggest event in the nation’s MMA history. It will be the second time the promotion travels to the Central European country following the success of BRAVE CF 34 in January 2020, and this time BRAVE CF and WFC aim to take Slovenian MMA to the next level with another explosive show in the nation’s capital.
