Kuwaiti NGO Rahma International and the General Secretariat of Awqaf have opened one of the largest mosques in Sydney, Australia.
Present at the event was Awqaf representative Ahmed Abdul-ilah, representative of Britian's King and New South Wales governor Margaret Beazely, as well as ministers of labour, diversity and official authorities.
“The mosque is characterised by its multiple facilities, with 500 worshippers benefiting," Rahma's European sector head Khaled Al-Mullah said.
"It shows Kuwait’s keenness in exporting major Islamic and advocacy projects that enhance the presence of Muslims as well as their various educational incubators in various parts of the world," he added.
