MUHARRAQ defeated Al Hala 2-1, Manama edged out Al Shabab 1-0 and Budaiya tamed Al Hidd 2-1 last night in the Nasser bin Hamad Football Premier League.
With yesterday’s victory at the Muharraq Stadium, the hosts moved up to third place with 10 points while Al Hala remain on four.
Muharraq scored first in the 41st minute through Abdulla Al Haiki while Brazilian Samuel equalised for Al Hala in the 66th minute.
Ismael Abdullatif scored the match-winner in the 71st minute.
At Khalifa Sports City Stadium, Manama moved to second place with 11 points after defeating Al Shabab 1-0. Al Shabab remain on six points.
The winning goal came in the 48th minute through Mohammed Al Romaihi.
In the last match of the day, also at Khalifa Sports City Stadium, Budaiya shocked Al Hidd 2-1.
Equaliser
Budaiya now have seven points while Al Hidd remain on eight.
Al Hidd went ahead in the 14th minute through Isa Ghalib. Budaiya equalised in the 45th minute through a penalty converted by Ameen Binadi.
Budaiya scored the winning goal in the 63rd minute through Hazza Ali.
