Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa was on hand, along with Bahrain Football Association president Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, legendary French football manager Arsene Wenger, and other high-ranking officials.
Infantino congratulated Bahrain on their recent title triumph in the 26th Gulf Cup, and spoke of the kingdom’s pioneering role in football, with the Abdullah bin Khalid bin Hamad Academy being the first in the world to be officially opened in collaboration with FIFA’s Talent Development Scheme.
