SHOOTING – BAHRAIN added two more medals yesterday in the Arab Shooting Championship 2025, currently being held in 6th of October City in Egypt. The kingdom’s representatives bagged two bronze medals, both in the men’s skeet shotgun competitions.
The trio of Tammar Ali Saleh, Hassan Majed, and Khaled Waleed took third place in the teams’ category, while Saleh also finished third in the individual contest.
The two bronze medals brought Bahrain’s tally in the competition so far to five.
The national team had earlier won three other medals, including one gold, in the 10-metre air pistol events
Moza Abdulraheem struck gold in the individual women’s division, and then she teamed up with Badreya Alatawi, and Qamar Ali Khalifa to clinched silver in the women’s teams category. The men’s squad of Ahmed Esam Alsherawi, Mohamed Khaled Zaman, and Ahmed Siraj Al Deen also secured a bronze medal in the men’s teams event.
Bahrain are one of 19 Arab national teams competing in this year’s Arab championship, which features more than 300 athletes, both men and women.
The other competitors in the field are representing Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, the UAE, Morocco, Sudan, Lebanon, Mauritania, and hosts Egypt.
