SHOOTING – BAHRAINI sharpshooter Moza Abdulraheem struck gold yesterday to spearhead a three-medal haul in the Arab Shooting Championship 2025, currently being held in 6th of October City in Egypt.
All three medals were claimed in the 10-metre air pistol competition, according to the Bahrain Shooting Federation.
Abdulraheem took first place in the individual women’s event. A silver medal was won in the women’s teams category, in which Bahrain participated with a squad that included Abdulraheem, Badreya Alatawi, and Qamar Ali Khalifa.
Meanwhile, the kingdom’s representatives captured a bronze medal in the men’s teams event. They are Ahmed Esam Alsherawi, Mohamed Khaled Zaman and Ahmed Siraj Al Deen.
Bahrain are one of 19 Arab national teams competing in this year’s Arab Shooting Championship, which features more than 300 athletes, both men and women.
The other competitors in the field are representing Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, the UAE, Morocco, Sudan, Lebanon, Mauritania, and hosts Egypt.
