NEW YORK - Kuwait Permanent Mission in the United Nations in New York hosted a reception marking the country's 64th National Day and 34th Liberation Day.
Speaking to KUNA during the event, late Wednesday, Kuwait Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Tareq Al-Bannai, extended his warmest congratulations to His Highness the Amir Shaikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Shaikh
Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
He emphasised that February 26 remains a memorable date for Kuwaitis, marking the day Kuwait was liberated and restored its freedom.
Al-Bannai highlighted the overwhelming attendance at the mission's headquarters, with over 150 permanent UN representatives joining the celebration, reflecting Kuwait's wise and balanced policies that have earned global respect.
UN senior officials, diplomats from Arab and foreign mission, as well as social and political figures attended the event, along with business leaders and Kuwaiti students.
