Football – The Bahrain Football Association (BFA) has honoured medical staff from the ambulance department of Salmaniya Medical Complex and of Al Khalidiya, under the directives of BFA vice-president Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa.
This is in appreciation of Al Ittihad’s humanitarian stance towards Hala team goalkeeper Godwill Chia Ndang, who suffered a severe injury in his team’s match against Al Khalidiya, during round 10 of the Nasser Bin Hamad Premier League.
An honouring ceremony was held for the medical staff, before the start of the match between Al Shabab and Al Ahli clubs, at the end of the 11th round of the league.
BFA board member and media committee chairman Ayman Al Fardan honoured the medical staff who handled the case, in the presence of competitions department head Muhammad Hussein.
