Puducherry: A complaint has been lodged against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allegedly ‘insulting’ the national flag on World Yoga Day.
V Sundar, a resident of Puducherry, has filed a complaint with Orleanpet Police against Modi for wiping his “face with national flag” during Yoga Day celebrations in New Delhi.
The controversy has stirred up a storm on Twitter. Factions, in support and against the Indian PM, have been created.
No Modi did not insult national flag.. nothing can be called Indian flag unless a tricolor with a 'Ashok Chakra' on the white stripe

Sundar, general secretary of Dalit Sena and administrator of WhatsApp group Puducherry Poraligal Kuzhu, received the photo of Modi wiping his face on 22nd June. Following this he went to the police station to lodge his complaint.
At first the police was reluctant to lodge the complaint, but eventually V Sundar was given an acknowledgement receipt.
The police will now enquire and confirm the veracity of the complaint.
