‘Game of Thrones’ returns to our screens on April 24, and in advance of HBO's hotly-anticipated premiere, Variety has an exclusive first look at one of several character posters for Season 6, featuring Sophie Turner's Sansa Stark, last seen jumping from the battlements at Winterfell with Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) in the Season 5 finale.
Now that the show has overtaken George R. R. Martin's novels, fans of his books are on a level playing field with viewers who only watch the series, and the new posters play up the mystery of that uncharted territory.
Much like the recently released teaser trailer, the images utilise the House of Black and White's eerie Hall of Faces, where the Faceless Men use the skin of the dead to create their disguises. Will some of our favourite characters be joining those chilling ranks this season?
HBO is releasing 16 posters in total, and you can see the rest by following the official

The premium cabler has been rolling out a decidedly wicked marketing campaign to tee up the new season, with the first Season 6 poster featuring Jon Snow, who was brutally murdered by his Night's Watch brethren last season.
Subsequent teases have challenged fans' allegiance to their favourite families, with ominous preview videos that warn of dire consequences for Houses Lannister, Stark and Targaryen.
Who will live and who will die? We'll have to wait until Season 6 premieres on Sunday, April 24 at 9 p.m. to find out for sure.
