HORSERACING – Isa Bin Salman Education Charitable Trust Chairman, Labour Fund (Tamkeen) chairman, and Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club (REHC) chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa has highlighted the efforts to align the REHC’s development projects with energy efficiency and sustainable development initiatives, in support of the National Action Plan to achieve carbon neutrality.
The plan was announced by His Majesty King Hamad, and is supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Shaikh Isa was speaking as he met yesterday Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) president Kamal Ahmed at Riffa Palace.
Shaikh Isa affirmed the importance of fostering an environment that supports the development of the horse racing sector in Bahrain. He noted that projects aimed at enhancing this sector align with and support the kingdom’s energy efficiency initiatives, which aim to achieve Bahrain’s goals of promoting sustainable and clean energy while preserving natural resources.
Co-operation between the REHC and the EWA was discussed, particularly regarding the use of renewable energy for the club’s development projects. Additionally, ways to adopt more innovative solutions to accelerate the club’s infrastructure projects and ensure the highest levels of quality during their implementation were also discussed.
Shaikh Isa emphasised that collaboration with relevant authorities is essential in achieving the best outcomes that support the future of the horseracing sector in the kingdom.
The EWA president expressed his gratitude for Shaikh Isa’s dedication to strengthening co-operation between the REHC and the EWA to achieve mutual aspirations.
