Kuwait City: An attempt to smuggle a large quantity of liquor was thwarted in Kuwait's Al Shuweikh Seaport.
Customs officers screened a shipment in the harbour and seized 4,608 bottles of wine, which were concealed in 384 cartons of olive oil.
Al Shuweikh Seaport director Saleh Al Harbi ordered the opening of the shipment which arrived from an Asian country. No one appeared at Kuwait Customs to clear the consignment, Al Qabas reported.
