Kuwait City: A Kuwaiti actress is sentenced to six months in jail in absentia in a libel lawsuit.
The Court of Electronic Misdemeanour convicted Mariam Hussein of defaming Kuwaiti actor Hussein Al-Mansour online in 2016, reported Al Rai.
She posted a video recording on social media websites saying that she has “no respect for him(Hussein) and would not cooperate with him”.
She was retaliating to the actor who made comments deemed defamatory after she been crown Miss GCC.
