HANDBALL – BAHRAIN take on Kuwait tonight at 7pm in the semi-final of the 10th Arab Handball Cup at the Sheikh Saad Al Abdullah Sports Complex in Kuwait City.
Prior to the Bahrain-Kuwait match, Qatar will face Egypt at 5pm in their last-four clash.
Bahrain will rely on a quick transition game and solid teamwork under Serbian coach Predrag Petljanski. Veteran players Hussain Al Sayyad and goalkeeper Mohammed Abdulhussain are expected to lead Bahrain’s efforts against the hosts.
Kuwait enters the semi-final with momentum, aiming for a third consecutive victory to secure a place in Sunday’s final. Backed by home support and the advantage of playing on familiar turf, the Kuwaiti team hope to overcome a tough and determined Bahraini side, also eager to reach the final.
Meanwhile, Qatar will count of a blend of youth and experience to push past Egypt and reach the final. Egypt, who advanced as the best second-placed team, are looking to bounce back from their group-stage loss to Bahrain and challenge Qatar for place in the championship match.
As part of the classification rounds (fifth to ninth place), two matches have been scheduled earlier in the day. Tunisia will take on Morocco at 1pm, followed by Saudi Arabia’s match against Iraq at 3pm.
