FOOTBALL – THE Equal Opportunities and Gender Balance in Sports Committee at the Bahrain Olympic Committee met Shaikha Dwa bint Khalid Al Khalifa, chairperson of the Women’s Committee at the Bahrain Football Association, to discuss co-operation in supporting women’s football in the kingdom.
The meeting was attended by Shaikha Nouf bint Khalid Al Khalifa.
The meeting reviewed the current status of women’s football, upcoming events, and ways to enhance Bahrain’s regional and international presence.
The participants included Salama Mohammed Atiq and Wafa Ibrahim Al Jazzaf, representing the committee; Rehab Al Malki, Manager of Women’s Football at the Bahrain Football Association; and Yasser Hadi, developer of the Malaeb app, who offered technical and logistical support for future tournaments and activities.
The meeting is part of broader efforts to empower women in sports and promote gender balance, aligned with Bahrain Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.
