The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) hosted a workshop on its new ‘Legal Professionals Account Opening Guidance,’ explaining to retail banks the process for opening accounts for lawyers and law firms under updated Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf Ministry requirements.
The rules require lawyers to have dedicated client accounts, which need a no-objection certificate and KYC information from the ministry .
