EQUESTRIAN – LAMAR, owned by Abdullah Al Nuaimi, achieved first place in the mares category yesterday in the seventh Arab Horse Organisation (AHO) Local Production “Arabian Horse Beauty” Championship, which commenced at the Military Sports Union Arena in Al Raffa.
The event is organised by the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef) in cooperation with the AHO.
AA Victoria, owned by Mohsen Ali, took second place amongst the mares, while Noor Al Hurya, owned by Al Noor Stud, placed third.
In the yearling fillies category, Al Najdiyah Al Shehab, owned by Fadhel Al Jamri, secured first place. Hala, owned by Al Raheel Arabians, took second place, and Layali, owned by Ahmed Sultan, placed third.
In the junior fillies class, TFK Lulu, owned by Al Haram Stud, was the winner. HK Deena, owned by Mohammed Al Hayki, finished as runner-up, while Jawaher Al Layal, owned by Mohsen Ali, secured third place.
The event’s organising committee chairman Abdullah Al Mudahka commended the efforts of Breef president Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa in implementing strategies that preserve Bahrain’s equestrian heritage. He highlighted the importance of such events in supporting local breeders and stables, contributing to the sustainable growth of Arabian horse production.
Al Mudahka emphasised that the continued organisation of this championship reflects Breef’s commitment, under the leadership of Shaikh Isa, to safeguarding the kingdom’s reputation as a global centre for purebred Arabian horses. He praised the strong participation by owners and stables, which has contributed to the success of the current edition.
