Egypt and Saudi Arabia have firmly rejected any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians from their lands in Gaza or the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. They also reaffirmed their support for the two-state solution and the Arab plan for the reconstruction of Gaza.
In a joint statement issued following the meeting of the political consultation and follow-up committee, held in Riyadh, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aaty and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan emphasised keenness on strengthening strategic partnership between the two countries.
Both countries expressed their unwavering support for ending the Israeli offensive on Gaza, stressing that any attempt to displace Palestinians, whether temporary or permanent, forced or voluntary, is completely unacceptable. They reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Arab-Islamic plan for early recovery and reconstruction of Gaza.
