BOCCIA – THE Bahrain 2025 World Boccia Challenge Championship began at Isa bin Rashid Sports Hall D yesterday, with the kingdom hosting the event until Wednesday.
The competition features over 70 athletes and 97 officials representing 14 countries from around the world.
Ahead of the competition, the technical committee initiated medical and technical classification procedures for the athletes in accordance with international standards, ensuring fair competition and equal opportunities for all participants.
The championship is one of the key events on the global Paralympic calendar and serves as an important platform to promote the empowerment and inclusion of people of determination.
Participating teams began their official training sessions at the designated courts. Delegations commended the high quality facilities and professional organisation provided by the organising committee, reflecting Bahrain’s readiness to host major international sporting events.
The organising committee reaffirmed its commitment to delivering an exceptional edition of the championship, reflecting the Kingdom’s distinguished record in hosting regional and international tournaments.
