As a win for conspiracy theorists all over the world, a recently declassified CIA document reportedly details the events of an allegedly real alien encounter.
According to the document, an alien turned Soviet Union soldiers into stone.
The document is a summary of a news report from the Canadian Weekly World News and the Ukrainian paper Holos Ukrayiny, dating back to March 1993 about an hostile encounter between the Soviet Union Army and a ‘flying saucer’ in 1989 or 1990.
The reports claim that a regiment of 25 soldiers was out on training exercises when they encountered a ‘low-flying spaceship in the shape of a saucer’ passing over their base in Siberia.
The sighting reportedly caused the men to fire a surface to air missile at the ‘saucer’, which successfully brought it down.
The report also claims that after the UFO was brought down, ‘five short humanoids with large heads and large black eyes’ exited the aircraft.
These beings allegedly started merging into each other, forming a single sphere.
The sphere was reportedly emitting a buzzing sound. It then exploded with a very bright light, which reportedly turned 23 out of 25 soldiers into ‘stone pillars’.
The remains of the soldiers were taken away by the Russian Army to a secret research facility in Moscow, the report adds.
“If the KGB file corresponds to reality, this is an extremely menacing case,” an unnamed CIA analyst is quoted as saying in response to the tale.
