HORSERACING – NAYEF Mubarak Sabt from Al Fursan Team secured first place in the 120-kilometre juniors race of the His Majesty the King’s Cup Endurance Ride Festival at the Bahrain International Endurance Village.
His Majesty King Hamad’s humanitarian work and youth affairs representative and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the event, which was organised by the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef) and featured strong participation from riders competing in various categories.
Finishing behind Sabt was Isa Humaid Al Anzi from Victorious Team, while Ahmed Ali Al Mutawa from Al Zaeem Team finished in third.
Shaikh Nasser congratulated the winners of the 120km juniors race and wished all participants success in the upcoming 160km international ride and 120km private stables race, scheduled for today.
Following yesterday’s action, Shaikh Nasser crowned the winners of the 120km juniors ride in the presence of Qatar’s Endurance Racing Club chairman of the board Sheikh Mohammed bin Nawaf Al Thani.
Shaikh Nasser closely followed the race stages, particularly the 120km juniors event, where Shaikh Nasser provided guidance and support to the young riders.
Shaikh Nasser highlighted the royal support for equestrian sports, noting that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s patronage reflects a commitment to further developing equestrian disciplines, particularly endurance racing. Shaikh Nasser emphasised that His Majesty the King’s continued support has strengthened Bahrain’s position as a leading destination for endurance sports and contributed to the advancement of riders and trainers in the kingdom.
