EQUESTRIAN – BAPCO Energies, the integrated company leading the kingdom’s energy transition, announced yesterday a sponsorship agreement with the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef) to support all Breef events throughout the current season.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Breef chairman Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and Bapco Energies Group CEO Mark Thomas.
On this occasion, Shaikh Isa commended Bapco Energies for its continued support of the federation’s events and its dedication to strengthening this partnership. Shaikh Isa emphasised that the sponsorship underscores the group’s commitment to fostering community engagement and empowering athletes, ultimately elevating Bahrain’s equestrian and endurance sports ecosystem.
Shaikh Isa further noted that this collaboration serves as a cornerstone for the federation’s plans and programmes to enhance competition formats, in alignment with the vision and objectives set by His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport chairman, and Breef honorary president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Shaikh Isa stated that the vision is aimed at driving further achievements in this noble sport.
Thomas expressed appreciation for the significant efforts led by Breef, under the leadership of Shaikh Isa. He highlighted the federation’s outstanding contributions and accomplishments in the equestrian and endurance sports arena.
Thomas reaffirmed the importance of advancing the kingdom’s sports sector and ushering in a new era of private-sector collaboration, in alignment with the Government Action Plan 2023-26, ‘From Recovery to Sustainable Growth’.
Thomas emphasised that this sponsorship is part of a broader framework of support programmes that reinforce Bapco Energies’ commitment to social development, fostering long-term progress in Bahrain’s sports industry for generations to come.
