The Mazda CX-90 MHEV (mild hybrid electric vehicle) recently won the prestigious Arab Car of the Year (ARABCOTY) award in the ‘Best Family SUV’ category.
The award was announced at a glittering ceremony held at The Chedi – Katara Hotel & Resort in Doha, Qatar.
ARABCOTY is a highly respected award in the Middle East, recognising excellence in design, performance, safety and technology.
The Mazda CX-90 MHEV is equipped with a new turbocharged 3.3-litre inline six-cylinder engine and mild hybrid system, offering 340 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.
The three-row SUV offers ample space for passengers and cargo, along with premium materials like nappa leather and wood trim. It also includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility, a fully digital instrument panel (a first for Mazda), and driver-assistance features like see-through view monitor.
Standard i-Activsense safety suite with features like smart city brake support, blind spot monitoring, and lane keep assist are also included.
The CX-90’s dignified design features a wide body, long wheelbase and available 21-inch wheels.
It also includes a driver personalisation system for remembering individual driver settings. The top-of-the-line CX-90 3.3 turbo premium plus offers heated/ventilated seats, two-tone leather interior and a panoramic sunroof.
