Two German slackliners set a new world record after they managed to walk across a slackline between two hot air balloons 2,500 metres high in the air.
Friedi Kuehne and Lukas Irmler broke their own record from 2021 when they walked across a slackline at a height of 1,900m in Brazil.
The International Slackline Association has hailed this achievement as a groundbreaking milestone.
Slacklining is defined as walking, running or balancing along a suspended length of flat webbing that is tensioned between two anchors. Slacklining is similar to slackrope walking and tightrope walking.
Videos of the pair attempting the record have gone viral with the footage of Irmler breaking the record having been watched more than 104,000 times.
