The automotive landscape in Bahrain has welcomed a fresh face with the introduction of the new Renault Arkana, a spacious SUV with a sleek profile.
As earlier reported in the GDN, Y K Almoayyed & Sons (YKA), the exclusive distributor of Renault vehicles in Bahrain, showcased the new car at its Renault showroom in Sitra. The grand unveiling was attended by distinguished guests, including YKA director Mohammed Almoayyed, YKA chief executive Alok Gupta, and Nissan, Renault, INFINITI Bahrain general manager Ahmed Al Dailami, Almoayyed family members, senior management officials and members of the media.
The new Arkana seamlessly blends a captivating design, commanding presence and robust build with Renault’s modern identity, elevating the ‘Nouvelle Vague’ spirit.
The Nouvel-R logo is prominently displayed in the grille, centred within a deep glossy black band that connects the headlights. This sleek surface contributes to the vehicle’s refined elegance.
The Nouvel-R logo’s design inspires a distinctive grille pattern, featuring a seemingly unstructured arrangement of diamonds surrounding the central diamond. The 3D effect on the diamond edges adds depth and dimension. These features vary in colour based on the trim level, with options including black, satin chrome, or dark chrome, reflecting the vehicle’s upscale appeal.
The vertical pattern on the upper grille complements the lower grille design, creating a cohesive look.
The aerodynamic blade, previously a hallmark of the R S Line and E-Tech Engineered versions are now available on the bumper of the Techno and Esprit Alpine trims. It matches the body colour in the Techno version and is finished in satin grey in the Esprit Alpine version.
The Renault logo on the tailgate is dark chrome, matching the front logo, lettering and tailpipes. Smoked crystal-like covers add a touch of modernity to the lights.
Chrome accents, such as the grille, window rims, and other decorative elements, have been replaced with black, satin black, or deep glossy black, depending on the version.
The Arkana offers a sporty-chic Esprit Alpine trim at the top of the range, perfectly complementing its personality.
Exterior features include a satin grey blade on the front bumper, a shale grey badge nestled in deep glossy black on the wing trim, and new 18-inch wheels that enhance its stateliness and sportiness. A new aileron designed to match the roof improves the tailgate’s aerodynamics.
Inside, the seats combine Eco Tep (10 per cent bio-sourced materials) and imitation suede. Blue horizontal stitching and the Alpine logo adorn the seatbacks, while the seatbelts feature two blue stripes.
The interior doors feature red, white, and blue stitching, and the dashboard cladding facing the front passenger seat is slate-like for a sophisticated and understated look.
The new lineup offers three trims: Evolution, Techno and Esprit Alpine, providing customers with a variety of options, including an introduction of a new body colour to the line-up, Midnight Blue.
Starting with the Techno trim, navigation is standard with the Renault EASY LINK infotainment system, which also supports wireless connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The digital screen on the dashboard, while still measuring 7 inches diagonally, now displays information across a larger area.
