In the presence of Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the BOC hosted a special reception yesterday for participating delegations at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The event was attended by a number of dignitaries and officials in the sports field, in addition to representatives of the countries competing at the Games.
Shaikh Khalid expressed his delight in receiving the BOC’s guests, noting that it reflects Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen ties and relations with other brotherly countries.
Meanwhile, Shaikh Khalid also attended yesterday a reception hosted by Fifa.
Fifa president Gianni Infantino was on hand and he welcomed Shaikh Khalid to the event.
GSA deputy chairman Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, BOC vice-president Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, BOC secretary general Faris Al Kooheji, and a number of Team Bahrain officials and administrative members, were also in attendance.
