Kuwait's former Interior and Defence Minister Shaikh Talal Al Khaled has been sentenced to seven years in prison in a case for seizing public money. The court also ordered him to pay back KD9.5 million.
In another case, he was sentenced to seven years and was asked to pay KD500,000.
Shaikh Talal has denied the charges against him in both cases.
