Team Bahrain’s reigning wrestling world champion Akhmed Tazhudinov has arrived at the Athletes’ Village in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
In a post on social media made by Bahrain’s mixed martial arts national team head coach Eldar Khan, Tazhudinov was with Khan and Tokyo 2021 wrestling silver-medallist Mahamedkhabib Zaynudzinavich Kadzimahamedau.
Tazhudinov is set to compete in the men’s 97kg category of the men’s freestyle wrestling competition, which is scheduled to get underway with the qualification rounds and semi-finals on Saturday.
A repechage and the finals will be held on Sunday.
