The most global MMA organisation in the world will close out 2023 with a historic fight card.
BRAVE Combat Federation has announced the full fight card for BRAVE CF 80, set to take place in Bahrain on December 15, and it will feature some of the top fighters on the company’s roster, the best amateur female fighter of all time, and a special duel between the UK and Ireland and Arab Legends.
In the main event of the evening, Jose ‘Shorty’ Torres defends his bantamweight world title against Nkosi Ndebele, in an immediate rematch of their bout back at BRAVE CF 73, in Bogota, Colombia – back then, ‘Shorty’ won the vacant title after a razor-thin split decision win over Ndebele. After much controversy and fan requests, BRAVE CF made the decision to put together an immediate rematch.
Before Torres and Ndebele run it back for the title, an Arab legend returns, as Jarrah Al Silawi, the fighter with most victories in BRAVE CF history, returns in a feature bout at middleweight against Nenad Avramovich, looking to become the first fighter in history to earn 10 BRAVE CF wins.
Also set for BRAVE CF 80 is a special set of five fights between UK and Ireland fighters taking on some of the finest talent in the Arab MMA world.
Hussein Ayyad (Bahrain, flyweight), Ahmed Labban (Lebanon, super welterweight), Mahmoud Sebie (Egypt, super lightweight), Izzedine Al-Derbani (Jordan, bantamweight), and Abbas Khan (Bahrain, lightweight) are the initial representatives of Team Arab Legends. Mohammed Alsameea (flyweight, Bahrain) and Abdulla Al Yaqoob (Bahrain, bantamweight) will also be added to the fold.
Meanwhile, Gerard Burns (flyweight, Ireland), Jack Grant (England, super welterweight), Oscar Ownsworth (England, super lightweight), Dean Garnett (England, bantamweight), and Stefano Catacoli (England, lightweight) are the initial representatives of Team UK and Ireland.
In the early prelims, two huge fights in the women’s divisions, as two of the top IMMAF fighters will make their much-anticipated professional debuts. The only woman to win three IMMAF world titles, Sabrina de Sousa will face Rewan Yasser in a bantamweight, while Fabiola Nascimento takes on Jleana Valentino at strawweight.
BRAVE CF 80 closes out an explosive end to the year for the organisation, which will host, in November and December alone, six events in four countries, and three of them as part of the BRAVE International Combat Week.
