THE Executive Organising Committee for the International School Games (ISF) Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024 held a meeting with the ISF managing committee to discuss hosting of the largest school games tournament in history, in terms of the number of participants.
Executive chairman Ishaq Abdullah Ishaq affirmed that it took tremendous efforts to succeed in making Bahrain the host of the (ISF) Gymnasiade 2024, during October next year, under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad.
During the meeting, he gave a detailed presentation on the preparations carried out by the executive committee, highlighting the kingdom’s readiness of sport facilities and its commitment with the ISF’s plan. Ishaq also briefed the ISF managing committee on the kingdom’s plan to attract the largest number of participants from around the world, which covered technical and operational aspects and the preliminary and logistical arrangements.
The committee praised the promotional plan and the hosting preparations by the organising committee, especially the readiness of the sports facilities, in addition to the kingdom’s readiness to host the largest games in the history of school sports. The Gymnasiade will last for 10 days during October 2024, with 5,000 students participating from over 80 countries.
