The Royal Endurance Team are ready to compete in the Royal Windsor Endurance Festival, which will take place in London today.
His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Royal Endurance Team captain Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who had directed the team to participate in the global sporting event, wished them success in the competition.
Othman Al Awadhi, Nasser Khalifa and Khalid Youssef will take part in the 100km race, while Shaikh Isa bin Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Jaber Bader Jaffar, Shahad Waleed, Sarhan Al Enzi, Fahad Hilal Al Khateri, Mohammed Khalid Al Ruawaie, Manal Fakhrawi and Asem Abdulwahed Janahi, will feature in the 120km race.
The 160km contest will see the participation of Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Jaffar Mirza, Mohammed Abdulsamad Al Bastaki, Isa Mohammed Al Enzy, Hamad Isa Al Janahi, Mohammed Abdulhameed Al Hashemi, Isa Al Enzi, Hamad Al Janahi, Zuhair Mohammed, Mayoof Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi and Ahmed Khalid Al Thuwadi.
Meanwhile, Munir Dhaif, the international supervisor of the arbitration committee, and veterinarian Yasser Al Makneh represented Bahrain in the arbitration and veterinary committees.
The Royal Team yesterday participated in the pre-race veterinary tests in the championship village, which witnessed a large presence of participating riders, as the horses passed the examination successfully.
The race will see the participation of contestants from around the globe, including Bahrain, the UAE, Kuwait, the Czech Republic, Britain, Belgium, India, Spain, France and the Netherlands.
